Travelling throughout Australia most of his adult life Richard Quilty nurtured his love for this country and for those people who live in its remote corners. By the 1980s he was providing an unusually personalised travel experience for small groups of family and friends - taking such groups in a large comfortable coach (2 seats for each passenger) to meet some of those people who live in these remote places.

Approached by the Tours Committee of the NSW National Trust in 1994, and through that Committee since then, Richard offers his personalised small group travel experience exclusively to members of the National Trust. Richard accompanies every tour. Aside from the striking beauty of the country travelled, it is the meetings with friends who live in its remote corners that gives a unique human profile to every Quilty Tour.
